Drum-ology.co.uk is THE internet based percussion education and outreach company. Working principally with young people, drum-ology.co.uk aims to compliment and further the work of classroom music teachers, whilst demonstrating the pure long lasting enjoyment one can gain from group music making.

Mainly specialising in the music of Latin America and Africa, drum-ology.co.uk concentrates on improving rhythmic awareness, as well as giving an insight into the fascinating musical cultures that surround these unique sound worlds.

Drum-ology.co.uk primarily teaches through workshop based classes, where, under supervision, each pupil regardless of their ability, has the opportunity to contribute to the music. At the end of the workshop, or series of classes, the visit concludes with a performance/presentation of the work covered and the music made to the rest of the school or company.

As the emphasis on the teaching of music in schools begins to wane, peripatetic teachers are having to toughen up and become ever more resourcefull and inventive, in order to maintain the presence of good classroom music-making. Drum-ology.co.uk provides the perfect solution: a unique opportunity to bring together the teaching of world music and culture, rhythmic and ensemble awareness, performance and group participation.

Although drum-ology.co.uk principally works within a school environment, the workshops and presentation can be easily adapted to suit any situation, from corporate weekends, to the perfect original entertainment for your party, with full participation for all your guests!
